The Assureira Bridge is located in Castro Laboreiro and is one of the combinations of bridges of national importance. It is classified as a Property of Public Interest.
The Assureira Bridge, over the Barreiro stream, a tributary of the Laboreiro river, was built in Roman times and reformulated in medieval times. Next to Ponte da Assureira there is a mill and a few meters away, the Capela de São Brás. These two elements are also classified as Property of Public Interest.
The Capela de São Brás was built, possibly, in the 19th century. 16th/17th century and has a rectangular plan with a single nave, it has facades in granite stonework, with an irregular device. Its interior has a stone slab floor, plastered and white painted walls, and a wooden roof, in “masseira”, painted in sky blue.
The Assureira Mill is a water mill, built in the 19th century. XIX / XX is currently inactive.
