Lamas de Mouro Door

Lamas de Mouro Door is dedicated to the reception, recreation and information of visitors to the Peneda-Gerês National Park (PNPG). There are 5 Entrance Doors to the National Park (one in each municipality that integrates the protected area – Arcos de Valdevez, Melgaço, Montalegre, Ponte da Barca and Terras de Bouro) and each one has a specific theme. 

The main theme of Porta de Lamas de Mouro is Land Use Planning, and it is possible to visit a permanent exhibition on this theme, where the natural and cultural specificities of the Melgaço territory are promoted, with a special focus on the history, organization and occupation. of soils in Castro Laboreiro.

With three buildings and several outdoor spaces, Porta de Lamas de Mouro has a reception, a themed workshop, a picnic area, changing rooms, and a campsite, being an excellent starting point to discover the magnificent protected area.
