Inverneira de Pontes

Located about 6 km south of Castro Laboreiro, Melgaço and just 1 km from the border with Spain. Pontes is an inverneira, a small temporary settlement where the population spent the coldest months of the year.

Uninhabited for several years, the houses in this village are now being rebuilt for Rural Tourism, with many of them already completed and in operation. In this picturesque village, you can also experience the way of life of other times or even visit a beautiful waterfall, very close to the village. Plenty of reasons for a unique and inspiring experience.
