Mamoa do Batateiro is a megalithic monument located in Melgaço with more than five thousand years of reasonable dimensions, with significant structural remains, with regard to the dolmen chamber, consisting of seven pillars. On the inner surface of the headboard support, faint traces of engravings can be detected.
It is located in Gave, a few kilometers from the Castro Laboreiro plateau, where the Megalithic Necropolis is located.

Pela EN-202, from Melgaço to Lamas de Mouro and Bouçados Homens. After this village, turn left towards Batateiro
When to visit
It's possible to do it all year round but is more pleasant in spring, summer or autumn.
