Azevim Nature, a company based in Melgaço, has introduced an initiative focussed on sustainability, entitled Reserva Verde (Green Reserve), with the aim of promoting environmental preservation in the region. Azevim Nature has pledged to plant one native tree for every two bookings made in the accommodation available on its booking platform.

From January 2024, all bookings made will automatically contribute to the planting of native trees, in partnership with the association Sementes Sorridentes.
Planting will take place between November and March, the period most favourable to tree growth.
