The second phase of the campaign to replace water meters in Melgaço is underway, as part of the strategy to combat water losses and improve the quality of water supply services. At this stage, 300 meters will be replaced. The new devices will make it possible to obtain readings remotely, providing greater convenience for consumers.

It is estimated that, by the end of this second phase, 80% of the meters in Melgaço will have been fitted with these modern devices, representing a significant advance in the management and control of the region’s water supply. This measure follows on from the first phase, in which approximately 60% of the meters have already been replaced, demonstrating the municipality’s ongoing commitment to modernising and improving water supply services in the region.
