Extreme Peneda Xurés invites the community to plant trees in the Peneda-Gerês National Park
As part of its promotion of the Peneda-Gerês National Park (PNPG) and its ongoing commitment to preserving and restoring nature, Extreme Peneda Xurés (EPX) is launching a challenge to the community: to plant trees in the heart of the PNPG. This initiative, which aims to strengthen reforestation and environmental conservation efforts, will take place in Lamas de Mouro on 14 January at 11h00.
The action has the support of the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF), which will provide the trees purchased by Normadbike, as well as the material needed for planting. In addition, representatives from the ICNF will be present to offer a brief explanation of the planting, covering topics such as the species of trees chosen, the specific planting sites, the environmental framework and the implications for the preservation of the local ecosystem.
The community is encouraged to take an active part in this cause, bringing family and friends to join in this noble effort in favour of nature. Participation is open to everyone, regardless of age or experience, and represents a unique opportunity to contribute to the sustainability and beauty of the Peneda-Gerês National Park.
“The PNPG Needs Your Help!” is the motto of this initiative, which hopes to be strongly supported by the local community and all nature lovers.
