Romanesque church of the disappeared Monastery of Fiães, also known as Santa Maria of Fiães Convent. Its origin is not consensual among historians.
While some argue that this is a Cistercian Order building, others believe that part of the monument is older, dating back to the time when the Benedictine Order lived here, in the mid-12th century. Of the Cluniac construction, the body with three naves and four sections stands out, separated by longitudinal arches with round arches. From the Cistercian construction, it is possible to admire the tripartite and staggered transept with a quadrangular plan, the two-bay apse and, throughout the whole, the simple and austere decoration.
