Melgaço City Council’s budget for 2024 has been disclosed, totalling 34 million euros, an increase of 1.5 million over the previous year. Of this amount, 15 million is earmarked for investment, eight million of which will be directed towards Business Development Areas, representing 24% of the budget.

The budget reflects a strategic commitment to measures aimed at meeting the needs of the population, improving the quality of life and boosting economic activity. Housing is the second major focus, representingfor 3.65% of the budget.
