As part of the preservation and sustainable management of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, a meeting was held to discuss the implementation strategy for the projects outlined in the Co-management Plan.

The meeting, which was attended by the Municipality of Melgaço, the Secretary of State for Nature Conservation and Forests, representatives of the municipalities of Arcos de Valdevez, Montalegre, Ponte da Barca and Terras de Bouro, the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests, I.P. (ICNF) and the Northern Region Coordination and Development Commission, had the main aim of aligning efforts and defining priorities to ensure the effective implementation of the proposed measures aimed at strengthening and preserving this valuable natural heritage.
