
Melgaço: ICNF and Remoães Parish Council plant 3,500 trees to promote forest conservation
The Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF), in collaboration with the Remoães Parish Council, has finalized the forestry intervention project in the wasteland area of the Remoães parish, Melgaço. The project, which covered an area of 6.2 hectares, aimed to protect the soil and promote biodiversity, with special attention to preventing forest fires.
With the support of the Prado and Remoães Parish Council, around 3,500 trees of various species were planted. The project emphasizes the joint commitment to environmental preservation in the region.
